Robert Mazor, MD, is the Clinical Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Seattle Children's Hospital and clinical associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics and fellowships in pediatric critical care medicine and pediatric cardiology. Dr. Mazor has an interest in congenital heart disease and mechanical circulatory support. He also has an interest in education. He has completed the University of Washington's teaching scholars program.
While I hope that nobody ever has to be looking for a recommendation for an CICU doctor, I can tell you that Dr. Mazor is the guy you want to be there if you should ever need one. He was with us the majority of our time spent in the ICU before our son's surgery, post-surgery on ECMO, and post ECMO recovering. He always made himself available to answer questions, discuss concerns, and explain what was happening. He had a special way of connecting with us as people and not just as patients. Thank you Dr. Mazor for giving Mateen his second chance at life. We are always so grateful each and every day.
