Cafeteria/Sound Café
Our cafeteria, the Sound Café, is located on the 5th floor in the Whale zone. The daily menu is posted at the cafeteria entrance. Drip coffee is available.
The cafeteria does not accept personal checks, but there is a cash machine nearby. VISA and MasterCard are accepted.
Sound Café hours
Open daily, 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 1 to 4 a.m.
- Breakfast is 6:30 to 10 a.m.
- Lunch is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Dinner is 5 to 7:30 p.m.
- Grill and breakfast items are available from 1 to 4 a.m.
Microwave ovens are outside the cafeteria and on most inpatient units.
Starbucks Coffee (two locations)
1. Outside Cafeteria/Sound Café (5th floor, Whale zone). Serves coffee, tea, espresso drinks, pastries, sandwiches, salads, healthy snacks and more.
- Open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday, closed
2. Main Giraffe Entrance. Serves coffee, tea, espresso drinks, pastries, sandwiches, salads, soups, breakfast sandwiches, healthy snacks and more.
- Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Both locations accept cash, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and prepaid Starbucks cards.
Feeding Infants
Most units have special rooms with breast pumps. Ask your nurse if you have questions.
For emergencies, formula and disposable bottles are available in the Inpatient units; please ask a staff member for assistance.
Vending and Cash Machines
Vending and cash machines are located in the following areas:
- On the 5th floor in the Whale zone near the Cafeteria/Sound Café
- Vending area only in the Family Resource Center on the 5th floor in the Train zone
