"After I presented a research proposal to a small Eskimo village in Alaska many years ago, the Council Elder told me, "We will trust you with our children." I feel privileged to receive that trust from every parent of every child that I treat. I believe families deserve not only the best care but also our utmost efforts to improve that care through research and training."
