James J. OCallaghan, MD, FAAP, is an attending physician at Seattle Childrens Hospital and Lead Pediatric Hospitalist at EvergreenHealth Hospital, Kirkland, WA, part of the Seattle Childrens Regional Hospitalist program. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
He completed his residency at Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital in Cleveland Ohio. James is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and holds certification as a PALS and NRP provider. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is the RVU Chairperson of the AAP SOHM Executive Committee. He is also a member and fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine. He was listed as a Top Doctor by Seattle Magazine in 2008 and 2009, and received the CME/CPD Award from the AAP in 2003-2005 and again in 2008-2010. He has an interest in Quality Improvement and is the inpatient clinical lead on Seattle Childrens Acute Gastroenteritis Guideline Committee and Community Acquired Pneumonia Guideline Committee.
