The NRP instructor's role has changed from "teacher" to "learning facilitator." This Hospital-Based Instructor course prepares new instructors to conduct 6th edition NRP Provider courses which use a simulation-based curriculum. Instructor-trainees will learn to guide NRP students through acquisition of resuscitation skills; learn to create and conduct scenarios using tactile, visual and auditory cues; and conduct effective debriefings. The course also covers the administrative tasks within the NRP instructor's role. Registrants must meet eligibility requirements, and complete course prerequisites, as stipulated by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
