Neurosciences Center

Meet Your Team

At the Neurosciences Center, we take a team approach to your child’s care. We stay in close communication with you – and with one another – from your child’s first visit through treatment and follow-up.

Besides doctors, your child will get care from advanced practice providers (APPs). These are advanced registered nurse practitioners (ARNPs) and physician assistants (PAs) with special training and education to diagnose and treat patients.

Neurology

Our team is experienced using advanced therapies to treat babies, children and teens with a broad range of disorders affecting the brain and spinal cord. All of our doctors are board certified in neurology, with extra training and knowledge about the nervous system. Our clinic is the main teaching site for the University of Washington’s nationally recognized program to give licensed doctors specialized training in pediatric neurology.

Neurosurgery

We have more pediatric neurosurgeons and neurosurgery nurse practitioners than any other hospital in the Pacific Northwest. Our board-certified pediatric neurosurgeons have special training to know the unique needs of babies, children and teens and to operate on brains that are still developing.
