Orthopedics - Clinical Depression Among Adolescent Patients After Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Treatment
What is the goal of this study?
Specific Aim 1: Identify the prevalence of clinical depression (CD) symptoms among adolescent patients undergoing operative and non-operative orthopedics and sports medicine treatment.
Specific Aim 2: Determine the relationship between CD and functional outcomes.
Specific Aim 3: Identify predictors of depression symptoms in adolescent patients.
Who can join the study?
- Patients 11 to 17 years old undergoing Sports Medicine surgery
What will happen if my child takes part in this study?
- Patients enrolled at preoperative or postoperative visit
- Data will be collected from patient medical records
