What is the goal of this study?

This study helps parents learn ways to help their children overcome their fears. This is a new program that includes new ways of supporting Spanish-speaking parents to help their young child with anxiety.

Who can join the study?

Spanish-speaking (or bilingual parents) parents of young children between the ages of 3-5 years old who have concerns about anxiety (fear of separating from parents, fear of the dark, fear of animals, fear of talking to strangers, fear of going to school, etc.).

What will happen if my child takes part in this study?

Parent will be asked to join a 6 week parent group through zoom (60 minute sessions once a week), participate in weekly 30 min phone calls with a parent-coach (promotora) to help them with the group home-practices, and fill out surveys and participate in a brief interview once the program has ended to ask about their experience with the program.
