What is the goal of this study?

The goal of this study is to explore what structure and range of incentives would prompt better engagement in diabetes self-care. Currently, we are conducting interviews to prepare a survey to answer this question.

Who can join the study?

Teenagers with type 1 diabetes who has been diagnosed with T1D for more than one year are eligible to take part in this study.

What will happen if my child takes part in this study?

If you join the study, we would ask you to participate in a one-time interview with a research team member to review a survey. This survey asks adolescents with type 1 diabetes what would be the best ways to use incentives to encourage them to engage in self-care. In the interview, you would be asked questions to help us make sure that the survey questions are easy to understand.

We expect this discussion to take 60 to 90 minutes. Since traveling for an in-person interview might not be possible for you, we will give you the option to do the interview in person or over the phone.
