Elizabeth Aylward, PhD

Elizabeth AylwardDr. Elizabeth Aylward is director of the Office of Science-Industry Partnerships at Seattle Children's Research Institute. The Office of Science-Industry Partnerships aims to create collaborations that move research institute discoveries into the marketplace, improving the lives of children and families. Aylward assesses the research institute’s projects, identifies those that could have marketplace value and connects researchers with potential industry partners.

Before leading the Office of Science-Industry Partnerships, Aylward spent most of her career as a neuroimaging researcher, including six years as the associate director of the Center for Integrative Brain Research, 12 years as a professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Washington and a decade as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
