Ann Van der Stoep, PhD
Dr. Ann Van der Stoep is a psychiatric epidemiologist and an associate professor at the University of Washington in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Epidemiology. Dr. Van der Stoep teaches epidemiological methods and psychiatric epidemiology to graduate students in public health. In her research she uses epidemiological methods to address questions about the phenomenology, etiology and naturalistic and treatment outcomes of child and adolescent psychiatric disorders. She has conducted studies on the transition to adulthood for adolescents with mental illness, the development of depression and conduct problems, the mental health status of children in the juvenile justice system and the evaluation of mental health interventions.

Kathleen M. Myers, MD, MPH, MS
Kathleen M. Myers, MD, MPH, MS, is the director of the Telemental Health Service at Seattle Children’s Hospital and associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She received her medical degree (MD) and a master’s degree in public health (MPH) at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu. She then completed an internship in pediatrics at the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Tucson and her residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. Myers was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the UW, during which she studied epidemiology and healthcare service delivery. She is the co-chair for the Telepsychiatry Committee at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and has co-authored practice parameters and guidelines for telemental health for AACAP and for the American Telemedicine Association.
