"As a parent, I empathize with the distress families feel when a gastrointestinal issue suddenly and painfully prevents their child from thriving and fully engaging in the joys of childhood. I take pride in working closely with patients and families to help children get back to the life they were living before their illness. What I love most about my work is the variety treating children in the clinic but also performing procedures and caring for them in the hospital. I see many diagnoses including abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, weight loss or poor weight gain, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease and eosinophilic esophagitis. Whatever the diagnosis may be, the most important thing is to assure worried families that weve thought carefully about their child and that our assessment and the treatment choices we provide will help their child return to doing the things they love."

When my daughter got sick, no one could figure out what was going on. We were finally sent from Alaska to Seattle Children's to see Dr Pattamanuch. She is wonderful, great bedside manner and incredibly knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable and in a matter of days was able to make a diagnosis and help my daughter to start feeling better! I credit her with saving her life, as she was so sick, at 6 years old that she had already lost a lot of weight. It was a very scary time for us.
