  • Biography

    J. Elaine-Marie Albert, MD, MHA is the Clinical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Units at Seattle Children's Hospital and Harborview Medical Center and a clinical professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Albert is also the Director of Patient Safety for the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.

    She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Madigan Army Medical Center and served as a general pediatrician in the Army for three years. Dr. Albert completed her fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Seattle Childrens Hospital. Her clinical interests lie in the areas of patient safety, particularly the eradication of catheter acquired bloodstream infections, and quality improvement in the pediatric intensive care unit. She serves on a number of hospital-wide committees and chairs the ICU CA-BSI committee. In August 2010, Dr. Albert received her Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Washington.
