EpicCare Link Login Changes Coming October 21
October 1, 2024
Please note: If you are a Seattle Children’s badge holder or a member of the Seattle Children’s Care Network (SCCN) that uses Okta authentication to log in to EpicCare Link, you can disregard this message.
To help secure your Seattle Children's EpicCare Link account, starting October 21 you will need to enter a passcode plus your username and password when you log in. You will select your preferred method upon the first log in on or after October 21, which will then become your primary method going forward.
Optional methods for passcode generation:
- Scan a QR code and use an authenticator app such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator
- Get a text message with a passcode sent to your chosen mobile device.
- Get an email with a passcode sent to your desire email address.
If you opt to use your mobile or email for authentication, you will be able to select the preferred email or number at the time of setting it up. You will not be required to use the email address associated with your EpicCare Link account if you prefer a different email.
After you enter the passcode, optionally select the “Remember Me” checkbox if you are using a device that's not shared with anyone else. This means you won't be asked for a passcode the next time you sign in from the same device for seven days. Note that if you log in through a different device or browser, or your browser's settings are reset, you are still prompted for a passcode.
