"I love providing medical care to children. It is still early enough to work with them and their families in adjusting key health-related behaviors, allowing them to reap long-term benefits. As a physician and a computer scientist, I focus my research on how technology relates to medicine. I explore a broad range of areas: 1) how to use technology to disseminate best practice and ensure that everyone throughout the WAMI region receives the best clinical care; 2) how to make clinic visits more efficient through use of technology, including family-focused tools to assess growth and development; and 3) how adolescents can safely use the Internet and new technologies."
