Julie Campbell, ARNP

On staff since October 2003

"I have always wanted to be a nurse. I spent my childhood rescuing animals of all kinds and caring for babies every chance I got! My first nursing job was caring for normal newborns. After that first year, I moved into caring for sick babies in the NICU, and I have never looked back. I have always loved working in the NICU, caring for the babies and their families, and I have been doing what I love for over 30 years! My special interests are pain managment, skin care, and providing developmentally supportive family centered care. Supporting a family through their NICU experience and helping them learn how to care for and integrate their baby into their lives from the very beginning is my passion! Watching families grow in confidence and skill is an incredible gift. Watching them happily taking their baby home is something that words cannot adequately express."
