We came to Dr. Owens for a second opinion after receiving a devastating diagnosis by our former primary neurologist. Not only did Dr. Owens completely calm down our distraught and frantic selves, he rationally explained his own opinion and recommendations of other specialties to see who could actually test for and ultimately prove wrong that terminal diagnosis initially given to us. Since then, the last 5+ years Dr. Owens has been incredibly competent, kind and effective in adjusting medications and decreasing our daughter's amount and intensity of seizures and helping increase her quality of life. Having a medically fragile child with developmental delays who is non verbal, non mobile and suffering from hundreds of seizures a day is heartbreaking and frustrating as a parent and caregiver. Dr. Owens has been a calming, supportive resource who always is so friendly and willing to help however he can. My husband and I are so grateful to have found a neurologist we enjoy working with who actually knows us and our family and truly seems to care. Thank you Dr. Owens!!

Dr. Owens is one of the most personable doctors I've ever had the chance to meet. He has been great in being apart of our sons care team and we enjoy seeing him each time we go to Seattle Children's. Having a terminally ill child is never easy but having a great doctor makes this more bearable.

Dr Owens is easily one of the most kind and personable physicians we have ever had the pleasure to work with in treating our young son's intractable epilepsy. His warmth is only surpassed by his depth of knowledge and tremendous medical expertise. Having a child with medical and developmental special needs is not easy and navigating treatment options and care can be frustrating under the best of scenarios, however Dr Owens is always a superstar on our care team and we are very grateful to be under his care and guidance.

Dr. Owens was great to work with when our 2 week old was in ICU. He answered all of our copious questions with grace and information. He is obviously a genius, but remains approachable and kind. Seattle Children's is blessed to have him on staff!
