"I aim to meet people where they are with the empathy to view the situation from the other person's perspective. How does it feel to have that diagnosis? What would be most beneficial for you? Developing a relationship with the patient is just as important. This requires taking the time to sit down, listen, ask questions and pay attention to the answers."
