My care prioritizes assisting my patients to achieve their highest level of functioning. I put emphasis on supporting my patients from a holistic perspective, ensuring that both their minds and bodies are cared for and that every victory, big or small, is celebrated."

  • Alexis Russell is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Seattle Children's Hospital. While in high school she volunteered for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's summer camp as a camp counselor and immediately identified her unique and passionate interest in children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

    With aspirations to specialize in neuromuscular disorders, she earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University then continued her education to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Washington in 2017. Her special interests include children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, and other neuromuscular disorders. When not in the office, Alexis enjoys yoga, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her friends and family.
