Family Advisory Council

The Family Advisory Council is a group of parents who advise the hospital on how it can more effectively meet the needs of children and their families. The council provides feedback on proposed policy, program and organizational changes that affect families at Seattle Children's. The council also brings family concerns to the attention of hospital leadership, and identifies and works on specific projects to support families.

Parents serving on the council have had a wide variety of healthcare experiences and represent the diversity of the families served by Children's. Members can serve a maximum of two 2-year terms. Council members also include two staff facilitators and three management representatives. Council meetings are held the second Tuesday evening of the month, September through June.
