Intensivists are doctors who specialize in caring for patients in intensive care.

Advanced Practice Providers

Advanced Practice Providers consist of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. These providers have advanced training and provide direct patient care working closely with the physician team. They diagnose, treat, perform bedside procedures, and intervene in patient emergencies. These providers can make referrals and also teach patients and families about serious and chronic conditions.

Fellows are doctors who have finished medical school and are training in a special field. Our PICU fellows are learning to treat children's diseases. During your child's stay in the ICU, these doctors will visit your child and assist the team in your child's care.
