Volunteer Application Process

  1. Take our volunteer placement survey and submit the volunteer application. A confirmation will be provided on screen.
  2. Once you reach the on-screen confirmation, download the required reference forms. Return the completed forms within two weeks of submitting your application.
  3. Volunteer Services will contact you to schedule a personal interview within two weeks of receiving your completed reference forms.
  4. Attend the personal interview. At your interview, you will be required to complete a disclosure statement and consent to a Washington State Patrol background check. You will also receive your volunteer position description, the volunteer agreement form and other placement documentation. Allow 30 minutes for your interview.
  5. Complete the tuberculosis (TB) screening requirements and TB screening verification form at a TB testing facility (all links are PDFs) within two weeks of your interview.
  6. Once completed and approved, you will be contacted by Volunteer Services to schedule your training date.
