Since 1988, the Purchase a Miracle (PAM) campaign has brought together product vendors, community volunteers, the grocery and drug store industries as well as consumers to raise money for Seattle Children's Hospital.
Each May 1 to June 15, in 550 retail stores across Washington state, volunteers place shelf tags beneath the products of participating sponsors. When shoppers choose products with the Purchase a Miracle shelf tag, they are helping support Seattle Children's. Learn more by listening to the 2015 Purchase a Miracle radio spot (MP3).

Safeway Employees Give Generously
Thank you to the many generous Safeway employees who personally gave more than $244,000 to benefit Seattle Children’s uncompensated care fund in 2014–15. Employees from five districts in Washington donated to support our patients through their employee giving campaign.
Safeway and Albertsons stores also raised more than $130,000 for cancer research during their Strong Against Cancer promotion in June. You inspire us with your commitment to our community!
