Identify theft is one of the fastest growing white collar crimes in the United States. That is why Fred Meyer, QFC, Shred-it and Seattle Children’s are inviting you to bring old documents containing personal information to a mobile shredding truck for secure disposal. Your participation in the Shred-a-Thon helps support uncompensated care and research at Seattle Children’s Hospital, whose volunteers will be on hand to collect payments at each site. Shred-it will donate 100% of the proceeds to Seattle Children’s.

Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic provides primary medical, dental and mental healthcare to thousands of children each year. The families we serve come to us not only for outstanding care, but sometimes for basic needs, such as school supplies and outerwear. Since the inception of the Bowl-a-thon, OBCC has helped families meet some of these needs. Proceeds from the Bowl-a-thon will help patients and families meet some of their basic living needs. Individual bowlers and children are welcome.

Health Kick is a martial arts “kick-a-thon” raising money for Seattle Children’s. Students get pledges for how many kicks they can do in five minutes. This can be per kick or a flat amount. There are individual and group events as well as board breaking for older students.

Join us for the 2014 Stammpede Bike-a-thon. The Stammpede is a fun, recreational event that provides riders with a chance to see the San Juans in a whole new way and fundraise for the Stanley Stamm Summer Camp. Maps, support vehicles and campgrounds provided. Riders can complete 30 miles, take shortcuts or add miles to other scenic locations. Orca viewing is a real possibility!
