Getting Help with a Project

Getting the Appropriate Resource

Project management and Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) share similarities as well as differences. To help you determine the most appropriate resource, please review PMO and CPI Resource Information (PDF) before requesting a Research PMO or Research CPI resource.

Getting Started

To initiate a request for project management support from the PMO, complete the following project proposal form. The second document provides a visual overview of the project proposal review process.

PMO Service Levels

The PMO provides four distinct levels of service to our partners. These service levels (DOC) delineate the PMO’s responsibilities from those of the project sponsor or functional manager.

Roles to Consider

It is critical for projects to have well defined roles of each individual or group in order to clearly set expectations and understand responsibilities. This document (DOC) lists common project roles and typical responsibilities for each role.

Document Approval Acceleration Process

In order to move projects along in a timely manner, it is critical for key documents to be approved by the deadlines set forth by the project leaders. This document (PDF) outlines the PMO’s process for accelerating approvals when deadlines are missed.
