Condition or Therapy:
Autism spectrum disorder
What is the goal of this study?
We want to learn more about differences between boys and girls who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Who can join the study?
This study might be a good fit if your child:
- Is between 8-17 years
- Has autism spectrum disorder
What happens in the study?
If you choose to take part in the study, you and your child would come in for 2 or 3 half-day visits. At the study visits, your child would have:
- Functional magnetic imaging (fMRI) to take pictures of their brain
- A recording of the electrical signals of their brain (an electroencephalogram, EEG)
- A blood draw
- Assessment of their cognitive, language and social skills
You would be asked to answer questions regarding your child’s behavior and development.
