About the Discovery Portal

Seattle Children's Research Institute’s Discovery Portal is a visitor center where our community can learn about the work underway to develop lifesaving cures, accelerate clinical advances and address health issues affecting children and families around the world.

The Discovery Portal is a self-guided experience. We recommend a minimum visitor age of 10 years, though all are welcome. All children should be supervised by an adult.

There are four exhibit areas in the Discovery Portal:

  • Amazing Results interactive exhibit: Explore our incremental research discoveries and breakthrough advances for our patients.
  • Revolutionary Science interactive exhibit: Learn about the innovative tools, unique methods and cutting-edge technology that support our research.
  • Remarkable People interactive exhibit: Meet our community of inspiring researchers, staff, patient families and donors who help make research possible.
  • The Future Starts Here responsive artifact exhibit: Discover our research history.
