CCTR Pediatric Pilot Funds Program

Apply to the PPF

Application Preparation

  1. Download and complete all required application materials:
  2. Before you submit your application, please send a copy of your draft project proposal to your CCTR grant and contract administrator (PDF) (CCTR members) or center business office (non–CCTR members). Include the clinical research budget analysts on your email for review of clinical billable events.
  3. Your center business office or CCTR grant and contract administrator will aid you in the development of your proposal and budget. They will also guide you through the internal signoff process for grant submission at Seattle Children's.
  4. The CCTR has several core infrastructure services that may be of use to funded pilot projects (e.g., Clinical Research Center, Biostatistical Services, Research Staff Support CorePCRC Lab and Investigational Drug Services). The costs for these services should be included in the project budget. Selected core services are offered to Pilot Fund recipients at a subsidized rate. The clinical research budget analysts can help you in determining the cost of these services.
  5. To request a biostatistics study design consultation for a Pediatric Pilot Funds application, applicants must contact Children’s Core for Biomedical Statistics at least four weeks in advance of the application deadline.

Application Submission

  1. Email completed application materials to the CCTR Pediatric Pilot Funds program coordinator.
  2. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. on the application due date.
  3. Submissions will be reviewed and applicants notified of award status within four months of the application deadline.
  4. Unsuccessful applicants may resubmit their application for the next round up to a total of three times unless the reviewers determine that the application does not meet the intent of the program. If the application is a resubmission of a previously unfunded Pediatric Pilot Funds application, an additional page(s) should be added to the cover page (limit three pages) describing how the application has been modified in response to the previous review.
