CCTR members participate in various committees to promote the goals of the center. See a list (PDF) of current CCTR committee members and committee contact information.
The CCTR Steering Committee, led by Center Director Dr. Bonnie Ramsey, provides guidance and overall strategic direction for the center. The committee meets monthly to establish priorities for center activities, determine funding allocation and lead new initiatives to improve clinical and translational research at Seattle Children’s.
Clinical Research Scholars Program
The CRSP Faculty, led by Dr. Margaret Rosenfeld, is a group of dedicated senior clinical investigators who provide mentorship for the CRSP scholars. The faculty also selects the scholars and provides oversight for the CRSP.
The Education/Communication Committee, led by Dr. Cate Pihoker, facilitates communications and fosters community building within the CCTR. The committee focuses on information sharing through a quarterly member newsletter and organizes educational programs such as the CCTR Seminar Series.
Faculty Recruitment Subcommittee
The Faculty Recruitment Committee is a subset of the CCTR Steering Committee made up of division chiefs whose main responsibilities are to establish recruitment policies, determine annual funding allocation and potential recruitment slots, review applications and interview potential faculty candidates, make recommendations regarding faculty recruits and provide an annual report on recruitment status.
Pediatric Pilot Funds Review Committee
The Pediatric Pilot Funds Review Committee, led by Dr. Ron Gibson, is a panel of experienced funded investigators from various divisions with expertise in evaluating research applications. This committee reviews and scores annual submissions to the CCTR Pediatric Pilot Funds.
