The Center for Child Health, Behavior and Development is a national leader in improving outcomes for some of today's most pressing pediatric health concerns. Our researchers are developing innovative therapies and leading clinical studies that address a variety of conditions including childhood obesity, autism, depression and the impact of television and other media on behavior and development.

The center brings together top investigators in diverse disciplines, such as pediatrics, psychology, psychiatry, anesthesia and surgery. Our collaborative model encourages these experts to work closely with each other, with their colleagues at Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington, and with investigators in Seattle Children's Research Institute's other centers.

This approach accelerates our progress by helping researchers leverage their colleagues' diverse expertise to establish the methods and best practices that ensure research projects maximize their potential.

Partnering With National Leaders

The center's investigators work in close partnership with leading institutions across the nation and around the world. This enables our team to capitalize on the latest research methods, to bring in specialized experts to help move a project ahead and to rapidly disseminate our findings to help children worldwide.
