About the Award
The Family Advisory Council invites patients and families to nominate a staff member, team or department that demonstrates the following qualities of family-centered care:
- Listens and values your opinion
- Shares information clearly
- Supports your family
- Offers choices
- Respects you
- Explains so you understand
- Partners with you
- Is flexible in approach to issues
