Greeter Service

Our team of greeters provides welcome, triage, assistance and general information on how to get around Children's.

We work with patients, families, staff and visitors in order to help them find their way in the hospital. We direct deliveries and assist with entrance security.

We collaborate with hospital staff and departments to support delivery of clinical and operational services. We provide and welcome and secure atmosphere at the following hospital entrances: Giraffe (G1), Whale 4 (W4), Whale 5 (W5) and Whale 6 (W6).

Services Offered

Our services include:

  • Answering questions regarding hospital and community resources
  • Arranging for a volunteer guide to help if a family needs assistance of any kind
  • Assisting families with finding their way at Children's, including the right place to check in and register
  • Collaborating with other hospital areas to provide excellent customer services to families, visitors and staff
  • Providing information about transportation such as bus schedules, ferry schedules, University of Washington health sciences bus and taxis
  • Directing visitors to inpatient rooms and meeting rooms
