Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center (FRC) provides information and support for patient families. We are located on the fifth floor of Children's Hospital near the Train elevators.
Our extensive collection of books, pamphlets and reference materials focuses on children's health, including materials on specific illnesses and conditions, parenting, growth and development, grief and loss, and safety.
Family Resource Center staff can answer questions about hospital services, housing and transportation; they can give you information about support groups and parenting classes; and direct you to neighborhood services and Seattle-area sights.
The FRC is also a place for families to have a quiet moment away from the bedside. Our services and facilities include parent massage, vending area with free coffee and hot beverages, computer workstations for e-mail and Internet access, laundry, and parent sleeping rooms for parents with children in intensive care.
