Children's On Call
Children's On Call (COC) is an after-hour, nurse triage and advice service. COC serves a mainly well-child population experiencing acute illness or injury.
Our patients are subscribers of primary health care providers in Washington state.
A team of nurses specifically trained in telephone nurse consultation provides care. Clinical support assistants facilitate call flow management.
Our team responds to over 44,400 triage calls a year. We respond to a variety of pediatric health concerns.
We use over 200 nationally recognized on-line clinical algorithms and references.
We fax a patient call document to the primary health care provider at the end of each call. We provide service by contractual agreement with pediatric health care providers within the state of Washington.
