Genetics
We offer a full range of services, including genetic counseling and genetic testing of patients and family members.
Such evaluations and laboratory testing provide information on suspected and/or confirmed genetic syndromes, and include risk assessment.
Our genetic counseling includes discussion of recurrence risks, reproductive options and indications, and interpretation of genetic testing.
We provide our services at the following locations:
- Children's outpatient clinics
- Children's inpatient consultations
- Children's regional clinics in Alaska and in Washington at Bellingham, Tacoma, Walla Walla, Wenatchee, Spokane and Yakima
- Yakima, Genetics Telemedicine Clinic. The Washington State Department of Health Genetics Services Section has funded Children's Hospital and Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital to conduct a pilot program of providing some Genetics consultations using interactive video between select patients and Genetic Counselors in the Yakima region and Medical Geneticists in Seattle.
