General Pediatrics - Harborview Medical Center

Overview

Harborview Medical Center is a 350-bed facility located in Seattle. Our mission is to provide exemplary patient care, teaching, research and community service.

Harborview is owned by King County and managed by the University of Washington. We are a major regional health care facility for the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.

Harborview is also a vital referral center. It houses several centers of emphasis in trauma care, burns, HIV/AIDS and neurosurgery and neurology.

Our mission influences many of Harborview's programs. Prominent examples of our continued quest to meet the needs of the community include:

  • Airlift Northwest
  • Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress (and its companion program the Children's Response Center)
  • Injury Prevention and Research Center
  • Medic One programs
