Safety Program
Overview
The Safety Program develops, coordinates, manages and evaluates safety activities within the hospital.
Our goal is to provide a safe, effective and functional environment for patients, visitors and staff. We implement federal, state, and professional codes, standards and regulations.
Specialty Services Offered
The Safety Program provides:
- Assessment of past problems and performance (accidents and incident analysis)
- Assessment of current problems and conditions (safety inspections and hazard surveillance)
- Safety training to ensure against injury, illness or loss
Our services also include:
- Hazard surveillance and product recall
- Incident reporting and investigation of risk assessment
- Policy and procedure development
- Promotion of staff and patient safety via education, communication, and departmental CPI (continuous performance improvement) programs
- Help with safety and environment issues
We also ensure the hospital's preparedness, response and recovery in all emergent situations.
