Research Description

As a pediatric environmental health specialist and member of the University of Washington Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, I conduct consults on environmental health exposures and childhood health impacts. My research interests focus on exposures to endocrine disrupting chemicals such as phthalates and bisphenol A and their impact on reproductive development. Public concern regarding these chemicals has risen in recent years and demands current research that addresses mechanisms of action and impact on health outcomes. I also practice general pediatrics at Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington Newborn Nursery.
