  • Biography

    Dr. Cabrera is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at UW and Head of Ophthalmology at Seattle Children’s since 2020. She completed her undergraduate degree in biological sciences at Stanford University followed by Medical School and ophthalmology residency at UCSF. She then went on to a clinical and research fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the Duke Eye Center. Her clinical research focuses on retinal imaging in retinopathy of prematurity, for which she is a frequent invited speaker, both nationally and internationally. She is also a national leader in prevention of sexual harassment in ophthalmology.
