  • Dr. Mary Jennings was raised in the Pickens District of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. She is Chickasaw and Choctaw. She received her doctorate in dentistry from Case Western Reserve College of Dentistry in Cleveland Ohio.
    Mary began practicing dentistry on the Gila River Indian Reservation in Sacaton Arizona in 1991 and loved every minute of it. Since then, she has provided care in Indian Health and community clinics in Oklahoma, Arizona and Washington.
    Mary Jennings believes in actively advocating for oral health. Our leaders need to hear what patients need directly from the patients themselves, and from the people who care for them.
    To get those messages across, Mary served a four year term on the Washington DC based, American Dental Association's Council on Government Affairs, six years on the Washington State Dental Associations Board of Directors and is the current Editor in Chief of the Washington State Dental Association's WSDA News. She is Vice President of the American Association of Dental Editors and Journalists. She is a member of the American College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists.
    In her spare time, Mary can be found with her two dogs, her family, and friends, writing editorials, working on art projects and reading.
