Research Description

I am a pediatric cardiologist whose research focuses on improving outcomes for children with advanced heart failure, particularly those who require mechanical circulatory support (VAD) or heart transplant. I am primarily engaged in retrospective clinical research utilizing large multi-center registries of pediatric VAD and heart transplant patients. A particular interest of mine is in better defining which children with advanced heart failure will benefit from receiving a VAD rather than continued medical management.
