Jennifer Ruddy, MD is an attending physician and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She received her MD from the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. She completed her pediatrics internship and residency at Akron Children’s Hospital in Ohio, and completed her pediatric pulmonary fellowship at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Her research interests include investigation of inflammation in the lungs, in particular in patients with Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
She also has research interest in exercise in patients with chronic lung disease such as CF. She is dedicated to quality improvement and transition of care to adult medicine for children with lungs diseases. She sees patients with a broad variety of pediatric lung disease and her clinical expertise includes cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease of prematurity, asthma, restrictive lung diseases, and chronic respiratory failure. She is dedicated to playing an active role in student, resident and fellow education and training and values working as a team to provide the highest quality patient care.
