Yemiserach Kifle, MD, is Associate Medical Director of the Pediatric Sleep Center at Seattle Childrens Hospital and clinical associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She is also associate director of the Pediatric Pulmonary Leadership Training Center. Her work focuses on diagnosis, management and follow-up of patients with sleep apnea. Her research interest is in looking at cognitive function of children with sleep apnea before and after treatment with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). Her other area of interest is the prevalence of sleep disturbance in children with autism.
Dr. Kifle is a compassionate and caring physician. My son has a complex history, and in the many years we worked with her before he recently aged out of pediatrics she treated him with respect, consideration, and care to make sure that he received excellent care. She also treated me as an equal when it came to caring for him, as his parent I am a member of the team that works with the physicians to make sure that his needs are covered. She listens well, and I could not be more pleased with the care my son received.
