Valerie Nelson was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She started her career at Seattle Childrens Hospital in 2005 as a nurse technician in the Emergency Department. After receiving her bachelors in nursing from Gonzaga & Seattle Universities, she worked as a registered nurse on the inpatient surgical unit at Childrens. In 2012, Valerie attained her masters of science in nursing from Seattle Pacific University. She joined the General Surgery team as an ARNP in 2013. In her spare time, Valerie enjoys spending time with her husband and golden retriever puppy, traveling and hiking.
