My son was born with a complex congenital heart defect and we were referred to Dr. Powers. Under her careful care, he was able to grow until his open heart surgery at 4 months old. He continues to see her for his follow up care, one year later. Dr. Powers still makes us feel like we are her only patient. During our appointments, she focuses on my son, really gets to know him, and is very attentive to the details of his heart. Her knowledge, expertise, and compassion leave me confident that she will always not only do what is best for my son, but keep me informed and involved in his care. We love Dr. Powers!
My daughter was born with a complex heart defect that requires close monitoring, so when we left Seattle Children's after her first surgery, she was recommended to Dr. Powers. We love Dr. Powers. She is great with kids, she takes her time to get to know her patients and she really keeps a very close eye on everything going on with them. She was able to tell on the spot when my daughter was not herself at a regular appointment and it may have saved her life. If you want a cardiologist that really listens to your concerns and takes time to get to know your child, Dr. Powers is for you! I attribute a lot of my daughter's speedy recoveries to Dr. Powers' attentive watch. I hope to keep her on as my daughter's cardiologist for years to come!
