Srinath Sanda, M.D. is an attending physician in Endocrinology at Seattle Children's Hospital. He is also an Assistant Clinical Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Assistant Member at the Benaroya Research Institute.
Dr. Sanda sees patients with all types of endocrine disorders including adrenal, calcium, pituitary, and thyroid disorders. In addition he sees children and adolescents with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Dr. Sanda's laboratory research focuses on the immunology of type 1 diabetes with an emphasis on the role of the IL-1 beta pathway in beta cell dysfunction. In addition, he is a clinical investigator on many large, multi-center clinical trials using new immune modulating therapies for patients with type 1 diabetes.
