My son Jacob was Dr. Boucek's patient when he worked at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. FL. He is such an amazing doctor and person. I was 17 years old when I had my son. Never did he speak down to me because I was young and not as knowledgeable as some of the other parents. He explained things that were happening so that we could understnad them too. If we did not understand something he tried another way to explain it so that we would understand. One evening while Jacob was waiting on the heart transplant list my husband was nervous. He asked the nurse to page "Dr. Boo". When he called back and my husband asked him a few questions, rather then brush him off till tomorrow, he came back inside to sit with us and explain things. When He got the call he was just then getting into his car. How many doctors do you know that would get back out of their car and come back inside to talk to scared/ worried parents? But he did! Jacob was never afraid to go to his appointments like some kids. Dr. Boo during his appointments would crawl on the floor and play with him. While he was in the room with my son, my son had his full attention. Jacob is now 13 years old. If it wasn't for Dr. Boo's experience and dedication my son might not be here today. He is an incredible doctor. Any child who is blessed to have him as their doctor is in great hands! Thanks for taking such great care of Jacob, Dr. Boo. You left him in good hands with Dr. Korang! He was the BEST DR. I'VE EVER HAD...! He was my heart transplant Dr. 10 years ago. He was more than a Dr. he care really care about his patients. I always remember him as what he is... THE BEST DR., A GREAT PERSON...!

My Dr. when I received my transplant at age 13. I was never an easy to deal with patient and this man constantly went above and beyond. I am 12 years out and doing great.

Dr. Boucek left a huge impression on me and my family. He was with us from the beginning when I found out my son, Joshua Neal, needed a heart transplant in 1991. Dr. Boucek was not just a doctor . . . he always made things easy to understand and was one of the most genuinely caring doctors I have ever met before or since that time. And believe me . . . I've met MANY doctors. Dr. Boo - as Josh called him, is kind, intelligent, extremely knowledgable in his field and spent MANY hours at the hospital. He will NEVER be forgotten. It was a sad day for us when he left Vanderbilt. Seattle is very lucky to have him. Thank you Dr. Boo!

Dr. Boucek is simply put - the very best. He is caring, intelligent, and kind with all his families that he treats. Our daughter Sarah is alive and well because of Dr. Boucek's care. We wish he would move to TN!
