I would completely echo Amy's review below. Meg feels like an extremely well-qualified aunt to our son. She is invested, straighforward, kind, knowledgeable, balanced in her approach to treatment, and oh so approachable - an invaluable quality in your prime outpatient cardiologist. She never makes me feel rushed in our son's appointments, never makes me feel like any question is silly, and is reachable by email for those questions you forget to ask and don't want to wait until the next appointment. And...she is a mom to two young ones of her own so she just gets it. We love her! Seattle Children's is lucky (and smart) to have her. And while I would follow her anywhere I am grateful she offers clinic times on the Eastside so we don't have to go to Seattle all the time.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Vernon. She was there for our confirmation of diagnosis of a heart defect after our 20-week ultrasound and has been my son's cardiologist ever since. She always has a kind smile and kind words for her patients. Often times I feel as if we're visiting one of my son's aunts. She has been available for me to answer all my questions outside of appointment hours. She has listened to our concerns, taken our opions in account, and has been excellent in keeping us involved in my son's care. Dr. Vernon always has his best interests at heart. She is conservative without being out-of-date with new treatments, and has worked very closely with other doctors to ensure my son has received the best care. I would highly recommend her for any parent facing the diagnosis of a heart defect, or for anyone looking for a new cardiologist.
