Maggie L. Likes, MD, is an attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She earned a B.A. with Honors from The University of Oregon (Eugene, Oregon) in Exercise and Movement Science. She earned her MD from Tulane University School of Medicine (New Orleans, LA).
She then completed her General
Pediatrics residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation (Cleveland, OH).
After her residency, she worked for a year as an attending pediatrician in the
urgent care at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Lastly, she completed her
fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital (Los
Angeles, CA). She is board certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Likes’ has provided care to
our patients since 2010. Her outpatient Cardiology practice is located at
the main campus in Seattle as well as at Children's Bellevue. She is also the
primary Pediatric Cardiologist at Group Health in Bellevue. She sees new
consultations as well as providing continuity of care for her established
patients. Dr. Likes also has a special interest in the prenatal diagnosis
and management of congenital heart disease. She is the attending
physician for the inpatient cardiology patients at Seattle Children’s for
several weeks a year, provides cardiology consultation at regional hospitals
and she is one of the echocardiography physicians who interprets
echocardiograms regularly.
Her research interests include quality of care and improvement of outcomes of
single ventricle patients, non-invasive imaging, and quality of outpatient
general pediatric cardiology care.
