Lindsey earned her Baccalaureate degree at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and went onto follow in the footsteps of her mother as a pediatric nurse. She began her career in the Emergency Department at Boston Children's Hospital after being selected as one of the first new graduate nurses to work in this position. She cared for children and families with acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
The desire to have a more active role in the medical management of her patients led her to pursue a Masters of Science in Nursing at Duke University. She is dually certified as a Primary Care and Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Lindsey has been working as a PNP with the Division of Neurosurgery at Seattle Children's since 2010 and is a valued member of her team. She particularly enjoys the unique model of rotating between the inpatient service and clinic. This creates the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and families over time.
She is passionate about teaching and regularly participates in nursing education. Helping families to understand their son or daughter's diagnosis and plan of care is incredibly rewarding.
